Shakoor Interiors projects include historic residences, new construction and boutique commercial spaces across Chicagoland. Her team consists of craftspeople, builders and other creatives to realize their clients’ dreams.

With a background in fine art and textile design, Erin Shakoor is much more than a designer, she is a creator informed by an aesthetic shaped by world travel, architecture, vintage furnishings, tribal and decorative arts.

The St. Louis native is a graduate of The Kansas City Art Institute and holds a certificate in Historic Preservation from Northwestern University’s Continuing Studies Program.

Her personal style and inspiration extend to Brutalist and Art Deco design & architecture, visual artists Ellsworth Kelly and Jean-Michel Basquiat. She is a talented ‘mixologist’ and harbors a not so secret aspiration to be a DJ.
