OBSIDIAN Virtual Concept House Creators in Conversation

On November 6, 2020, we kicked off OBSIDIAN programming with a robust Creators in Conversation between architects Leyden Lewis and Nina Cooke John, former Black Panther Leader Ericka Huggins, and moderator Asad Syrkett, Editor-in-Chief of Elle Decor. In addition to discussing the inspiration behind the Obsidian Virtual Concept House, the conversation covered housing inequities, the history of the Black Panther Party's social programs, and the ways in which our homes can provide space for gathering, connection, and healing. The event embodied a love for our collective Blackness and shared humanity.
